Sigma Alpha Epsilon at MTSU
The Tennessee Beta Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon was chartered on December 13, 1969. There were four chartering members from the local men's fraternity Lambda Psi: Bob Hardison, Jim Dickson, Jim Gaines and Fred Woody.
Since its inception, the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Chapter at Middle Tennessee State University has initiated over 1,200 members. Alumni members of the Tennessee Beta Chapter are found throughout Middle Tennessee and across America as successful leaders in Business, Law, Aviation, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, Recording Industry, Construction, and Sales.
The Tennessee Beta Alumni Association of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is an independent organization that cultivates lifelong relationships with current and future alumni. As a committed partner and supporter of MTSU and the undergraduate chapter, the Association strives to foster a spirit of loyalty among graduates, former students, current students, family, and the community.
The purpose of this Alumni Association is to extend the bonds of friendship and fraternity beyond the years of college. We continue to do this through multiple organized gatherings and social events throughout the year.
